Singapore Breast Multidisciplinary Conference

14/11/2023

The inaugural Singapore Breast Multidisciplinary Conference 2023 was held from 3-5 November at PARKROYAL on Beach Road. More than 300 surgeons, pathologists, radiologists, oncologists and allied health professionals from Singapore and countries in the region including Australia, Indonesia, Japan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Taiwan and Thailand, came together to learn and share their expertise on the multidisciplinary management of breast cancer diagnoses and treatments.

The programme reinforced the collaborative relationship of these disciplines, with tracks that catered to individual specialties and culminating in a final day of combined multidisciplinary discussions of common diagnostic and management problems.

Of great interest, was the breast pathology course, with a microscopy workshop that allowed pathologists to review and discuss interesting and problematic cases.

For the Radiologists, in addition to lectures on ST-guided and MRI-guided breast vacuum-assisted biopsies and localisations, they also got to try their hands at these interventions at Luma Women’s Imaging Centre in Paragon.

We sincerely thank our international and local faculty, sponsors, partners, support crew and organisers, without whom, this event would not have been such a success.
